Jens Hagelstein new spokesperson for the DGPuK’s PR and Organizational Communication Section

Jens Hagelstein, a postdoctoral researcher in Sabine Einwiller’s team, was elected spokesperson for the PR and Organizational Communication Section at the annual conference of the German Society for Journalism and Communication Studies (DGPuK) held in Dortmund in March.

Jens will assume this role over the next two years alongside Benno Viererbl 
(Institute of Journalism, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz). 
The co-chairs took office at the association’s annual conference in Dortmund.

With approximately 1,300 members, the German Society for Journalism and Communication Studies (DGPuK) is the largest professional association for communication studies in the German-speaking world. Jens Hagelstein, a postdoc in the Corporate Communication Research Group under Sabine Einwiller since December 2023, has been actively involved in the DGPuK for many years, most recently as spokesperson for the mid-career faculty network naprok (Young Researchers in PR and Organizational Communication).
